DRAFT OF MINUTES PENDING APPROVAL

1. CALL TO ORDER
This special meeting of the CLAN Steering Committee meeting was called to order by Chair Kathryn Taylor at 9:50 A.M. at the Warwick Public Library.

Steering Committee members in attendance: Susan Aylward, Peter Bennett, Carol Brouwer, John Carney, Fran Farrell-Bergeron, Shirley Long, Doug Pearce, Anne Parent, Pat Redfearn, Kathryn Taylor, Ulla Virks. Excused absence: Regina Slezak

Also in attendance: Dan Austin

2. OTHER
Treasurer Shirley Long reported that Elaine is concerned that only Peter can sign checks at the moment since his name and Ginny's name are the only two on the bank account. Doug Pearce suggested that it would be expedient for the director of the library hosting the CLAN offices also to be a signatory on the checking account.

VOTED to add the director of the library hosting the CLAN offices (at present Doug Pearce, director of the Warwick Public Library) to be a signatory on the checking account with 10 members voting in favor of the motion and Doug Pearce abstaining from the vote. (Fran Farrell-Bergeron moved, Ulla Virks seconded).

3. ADJOURNED EXECUTIVE SESSION

VOTED unanimously to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. (Fran Farrell-Bergeron moved, Ulla Virks seconded).

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 AM.
